Flip-mirror Filter Finder Ref: TT-filf1

TRUE TECHNOLOGY The Flip-mirror Filter Finder is a unique product, combining the functions of a flip-mirror finder, with a simple yet effective method of carrying out tri- or quad-colour imaging. The unit measures 2.5" front to back, and a wide range of adapters are available to connect between most types of telescope and CCD camera. A quality front-aluminised mirror is used, providing good visual views in 45° position, and in this position, light to the CCD camera is blocked, enabling dark frames to be taken for CCD cameras which have no shutter (eg Starlight Xpress). A soft wallet is provided with each filter-finder, plus four filter plates. The plates take standard 1.25" filters, such as True Technology's high quality dichroic sets (available from Green Witch).

The price of the unit includes one set of adaptors. Please send a separate email to specify which adaptors you require; choose one for the camera side and one for the telescope side. If you don't specify it we will supply 1.25" push-fit (one male, one female).

TRUE TECHNOLOGY The Flip-mirror Finder is similar to the Flip-mirror Filter Finder but does not have provision for inserting filters. It will be of particular interest to anyone using a one-shot colour camera such as the MX5C or MX7C.

AA Light supports all of the Starlight camera range and includes many of the most popular image processing routines from the full version. The main items removed are the star chart facility and the Maximum Entropy / Richardson-Lucy functions. This software is highly recommended as a valuable addition to your Starlight Xpress CCD system.
