 Telephotography with Opticron Telescopes and SLR/DSLR Cameras Telephotography is now easier than ever using Opticron telescopes in conjunction with SLR & DSLR cameras. In this system the telescope is used as the camera lens and is coupled directly to the SLR camera body using either a telephoto adapter or an eyepiece+photoadapter combination, and a T-ring specific to your make of camera. We can supply a T-ring for most major camera brands if you don't already have one. The chart below shows the current range of Opticron telephoto-adapters and photo-adapters available to enable you to convert your Opticron telescope into a long focal length telephoto lens. Please note that telephoto adaptors contain their own optics and fit in place of your eyepiece whereas photo adpators work with the appropriate eyepiece. |
