This finely crafted piece is CNC-machined out of solid aluminum stock to complement the Questar. Its polished aluminum base has blackened anti-reflection threads on the inside aperture to improve contrast. A black anodized knurled focusing ring allows focusing to the Questar viewfinder optics, and a lock screw (with 2 locations for convenience) gives extra security.

This unit simply attaches to the top of the eyepiece after removing the rubber eyeguard. It raises the eyeguard position by 8mm, and includes 3 lock screws, and a rubber eyeguard and eyepiece cap (in case yours is lost or damaged.) Units are stackable: for example 2 units add 16mm height and make a 40mm Plössl very comfortable for solar viewing by blocking out stray daylight to maximize contrast in white light or hydrogen-alpha viewing.

Eyeguard extender is black anodized aluminum with anti-reflection threads.

The extension tube is threaded for 48mm filters, has internal anti-reflection threads and captive lock screws.
