FLT 98 DDG Triplet Apochromatic Telescope

The FLT 98 is one of William Optics' most popular high-quality telescopes. Its triplet apochromatic objective, white aluminium tube and 3.5" focuser combine to give an excellent instrument weighing 4.7 kg. It now comes equipped with their Digital Display Guage (DDG) showing you the current focus setting. The DDG has been awarded hot astronomy product for 2010 status by Sky and Telescope magazine.

WILLIAM OPTICS

The FLT98 is a portable, high quality, versatile APO telescope designed for individuals who want a very high quality instrument in a relatively compact package. It features a top-quality triplet f/6.3 air-spaced objective, one of the best that William Optics have ever made.

This scope is extremely sharp and has great colour correction making it ideal for astrophotography. The precision optics with STM coatings were designed by a leading Russian designer with FPL-53 glass.

The Extra-smooth 3.5" Crayford focuser is a treat to use during astrophotography. It is designed to carry heavy loads without shifting and incorporates stainless steel reinforcement and dual ball bearings.

William Optics attention to detail is evident in the anti-marring compression rings, beautiful and hard-wearing finish and golden trim.

Includes a sturdy aluminium case and machined mounting rings. A field flattener for large format detectors is available as an optional extra.
