NAME: Neil Parker

JOB DESCRIPTION: Managing Director & one of the co-founder's of Green Witch.

Neil's background is in the world of professional astronomy where he was Deputy Director of the Royal Greenwich Observatory and Head of its Technology Division. He still carries out consultancy work on large telescope projects and is available to advise on observatories and their equipment.

INTERESTING FACT: Neil is a pilot and flies light aircrafts and gliders. He also enjoys getting away from it all at the Sky Village in Arizona USA.

NAME: Wendy Baker

JOB DESCRIPTION: Sales Manager

Wendy is one of the friendly voices you are likely to hear when you call Green Witch. She looks after the internet orders and is the designer and maintainer of the website and on-line catalogue. Wendy also keeps the rest of the staff in line. In case you can't read the mug it says "I never gossip in the office - I network".

INTERESTING FACT: Wendy has a Staffordshire Bull Terrier called George, and two cats called Ronnie and Reggie. She is also a self confessed Caffeine Addict!

NAME: Lee Sproats

JOB DESCRIPTION: Sales Consultant.

Lee is a professional astronomer by training but an ardent amateur at heart. He has a wealth of knowledge, both of astronomy and of the equipment we sell. He is always happy to provide help and advice. And he's much more friendly than his photo!

INTERESTING FACT: Lee enjoys hiking in the Peak District and Wales. He also loves the £1 flights to European cities. Lee also looks like Wallace from Wallace & Gromit!

NAME: Ralph Bell

JOB DESCRIPTION: Sales Consultant.

Ralph is a very keen Amateur Astronomer and Astrophotogapher, he is therefore very knowledgeable and can help with any problems or advice that you might need. He has joined us full time to help in the Showroom.

INTERESTING FACT: In his spare time Ralph likes to go Karting and has won lots of trophies. Ralph enjoys all sport including Extreme Walking.

NAME: Richard Lavender

JOB DESCRIPTION: Saturday Sales Consultant.

Richard has a Meade 14" Telescope, and is a very keen Amateur Astronomer and Astrophotogapher he is very easy to talk to and can assist you with any problems or advice that you might require. He works for us on a Saturday between 10 and 5pm.

INTERESTING FACT: During the week Richard is a roofer and so heights are no problem whether he is looking at the top of a building or the top of the Univ`erse.

NAME: Lucy Parker

JOB DESCRIPTION: Advertising & Marketing.

Lucy has a background in retail management and works mainly from home. Occasionally you will see her in the showroom, especially at our events when everyone joins in.

INTERESTING FACT: Lucy enjoys painting, as well as organising weddings and parties. She has a Papillon called Fleur, whose street name is FANG!

NAME: Lesley Vertue

JOB DESCRIPTION: Retired

Lesley worked at the Royal Greenwich Observatory during its time in Cambridge and was involved in several aspects of promoting astronomy and the work of the RGO to the wider public. She co-founded Green Witch with Neil but has now retired and taken more of a back seat. However, she still maintains a keen interest in the company and will be seen from time to time in the showroom, helping out in her usual friendly manner.

INTERESTING FACT: Now Lesley has retired she loves spending time with her 3 dogs, as well as her 7 Grandchildren and 4 Grand Dogs! The photo is of Lesley and Terry Pratchet when he popped into one of our star parties, following a book signing in Cambridge.
