An up-rated version of the original Opticron HR, the SR.GA offers excellent standards of optical performance and manufacturing quality in a traditional porro prism format.

Simplicity of design (the binoculars are not waterproof) coupled with the highest available grade of glass components mean that all four models deliver stunning resolution - matching any roof prism binocular costing twice the price. In addition each model benefits from a 'combination' multi-coating meaning different 'coating types' are applied individually to different components within the optical system. More costly than a universally applied single multi-coating, the process has an appreciable effect, improving colour contrast in bright sunlight at midday or low light at dawn and dusk.

The lightweight bodies are finished in a contoured natural rubber that completely covers the instruments in a protective skin. The semi-circular rib patterns deliver positive handling in all weather conditions with or without gloves.

Models 8x32 and 12.5x50 feature wide-angle eyepieces. Full field of view with glasses is obtainable on the 8.5x50 and 10x50.
