The speaker features a rechargeable lithium-Ion battery which charges from a computer USB port. It also includes an extension cable for flexible placement of the speaker while using the SkyScout. A nylon lanyard to hang the speaker around the telescope or neck for easy listening completes the package.

(And you can use it with other devices such as MP3 players that have 3.5mm jack plugs.)

Approx 2" high, the sound quality is much better than you would expect from such a small device.
