Meade Series 5000 HD-60 LE Eyepieces

These stunning eyepieces offer similar performance and build quality to rival offerings costing twice as much. Available in 4.5mm, 6.5mm, 9mm, 12mm, 18mm and 25mm focal lengths, the new Meade 5000 HD-60 eyepieces offer extremely flat 60° fields, with excellent edge-to-edge sharpness. Available eye relief is a minimum of 17mm across the range and Meade report the HD-60 design yields an improvement of 40% in terms of chromatic aberration and edge distortion when compared to traditional Plossls.

Construction comprises of six fully multicoated high resolution exotic glass optical elements, which are housed in precision 1.25" barrels with contrast-enhancing blackened interior edging. Twist up eyecups boost comfort and prevent stray light disturbing observations.
