The Variable Projection Camera Adaptor is similar to the Basic Camera Adaptor but includes a sliding mechanism to vary the distance between the eyepiece and camera focal plane in order to adjust the size of the projected image.
The Variable Projection Tele-extender is designed for eyepiece projection photography at the rear cell of an SCT. A sliding mechanism enables the distance from the eyepiece to the film plane to be varied thus changing the size of the image. The effect can be likened to zooming and is particularly useful in high-resolution lunar and planetary imaging.
It can be used with most plossl and similar-sized eyepieces up to about 25mm in focal length.
