Moon Filter 1.25Moon Filter 1.25" Ref: GW-MoonFilter
  • GREEN WITCH

The Moon can be dazzling when seen through a telescope, especially when full or near full. A moon filter makes it more comfortable to view and to see fine detail. It also helps to preserve your night vision. We consider it to be an essential accessory.

Price: £15.00 (Including VAT at 20%)

#905 Variable Polarizing Filter#905 Variable Polarizing Filter Ref: MEA-07286

  • MEADE For glare-reduction in observing the Moon the #905 Variable Polarizer includes two Polarizer filters mounted in a specially-machined cell. The #905 permits variable settings of the light transmission between 5% and 25%, to account for varying lunar surface brightness according to the phase of the Moon and the magnification and aperture of the telescope. Accepts 1.25" eyepieces.
Price: £43.00 (Including VAT at 20%)

  • Baader 1.25Baader 1.25" Polarising Filter Ref: DH-2408343
    • BAADER

Enhances contrast during planetary observation. Useful for solar work in conjunction with Baader Herschel Wedge Prism. Planoptically polished.

Price: £36.00 (Including VAT at 20%)

Baader 1.25Baader 1.25" Double Polarising Filter Ref: DH-2408340
    • BAADER

Baader double Polarising-Filter with rotating cell mount. For perfect light management when viewing bright objects.Neutral extinction range 85% - 30%. Planoptically polished.

Price: £64.99 (Including VAT at 20%)

    UHC-S 1.25UHC-S 1.25" Nebula Filter Ref: DH-2458275
    • BAADER

A good all-round nebula filter suitable for telescopes with apertures of 100mm and above. Cuts down the sky background and light pollution whilst letting through the light from faint nebulae.

Price: £51.00 (Including VAT at 20%)

    Baader 1.25Baader 1.25" Semi-APO Filter Ref: DH-2458398
    • BAADER

Baader have combined their fringe killer coating with a neodymium substrate to remove the colour fringing produced by achromatic refractors. The result is much-improved images that they call semi-APO.

Price: £58.99 (Including VAT at 20%)

Baader 1.25Baader 1.25" Moon and Skyglow Filter (Neodymium) Ref: DH-2458305A
    • BAADER

Improve the performance of your refractor with a Neodymium filter

This inexpensive glass filter has many uses, but is particularly good for removing some of the false colour glow encountered in achromatic refractors, and for darkening the sky. The neodymium glass has characteristics that are useful in many ways to astronomers with small refractors up to about 6 inch (150 mm) aperture.

Both filter surfaces are precision polished and anti-reflection coated to give the best optical results. Screws into 1.25" eyepieces.

Price: £49.00 (Including VAT at 20%)

Baader 1.25Baader 1.25" Fringe Killer Filter Ref: DH-2458370
    • BAADER

This Baader Fringe-Killer Filter minimizes unwanted blue fringing while retaining a very pleasing color balance. It uses modern DWDM plasma-assisted coating technology, allowing almost a hundred coating layers to be accumulated onto a planoptically polished substrate, without destroying the optical figure.

This fine optical tool will help a small refractor to really put the advertized magnification within reach. Performance rivals that of the most expensive colour-correcting lens systems costing 20 times as much.

Price: £49.00 (Including VAT at 20%)

    Baader 1.25Baader 1.25" Contrast Booster Ref: DH-2458360
    • BAADER

A unique filter for many different astronomical tasks. Based on Neodymium-doped glass which has inherent characteristics that are useful for astronomy, additional dielectric coatings fine-tune it to get the best out of entry-level telescopes.

Use it to sharpen images from inexpensive refractors and to remove the bluish tint around bright objects. It will also reduce sky background and help reveal planetary surface detail such as the Great Red Spot on Jupiter.

Choose this as your first general-purpose filter - it will greatly enhance the views through your telescope.
