Vixen Mini Porta Mount Ref: OP-79922

VIXEN

Vixen’s Mini Porta altazimuth mount is the most affordable mount in the range and is perfect for "grab and go" observing. The mount head and tripod sections are detachable for transportation and storage but the complete system can also be transported in an optional carry bag.

Using the same friction-based adjustment system as the larger Porta II mount, the telescope can be quickly moved into place by hand. Unlike some competitor models, the Mini Porta also includes slow motion handles for fine adjustment and tracking.

The Vixen SX mount comes with the Star Book GO-TO controller for manual or computer controlled observation or astrophotography. The Star Book is unique to Vixen and gives you a real-time planetarium display showing where the telescope is pointing. Interacting with and controlling the telescope is easy and intuitive.

This equatorial mount is light enough to be used as a portable observing platform but also offers a stable base for long exposure astrophotography.

The SX mount is suitable payloads up to 12kg

The Vixen AXD mount comes with Star Book Ten controller for manual or computer controlled observation or astrophotography.

The new AXD mount is the latest generation of Vixen’s renowned Atlux equatorial mount series. The Atlux Deluxe (AXD) has been engineered to cope with the demands of the most advanced astro photographer. As digital camera resolutions have increased, so has the need for more accuracy and stability in an equatorial mount. The use of multiple high precision bearings, worm gears and drive components mean the AXD is perfect for long exposure and very high resolution astro photography.
