Green Witch was created on October 31st 1998, the day that the Royal Greenwich Observatory closed after 323 years of distinguished service to science. To celebrate its first birthday, Lesley held a party at her house in Dry Drayton attended by many of the friends who have helped and supported us in our first year.

The following day, Monday November 1st, another party was held in the Green Witch showroom, to which all Cauldron Club members were invited. This turned out to be a wonderful occasion and the showroom was packed from the very beginning until well after the advertised finishing time. Some of our members brought or sent birthday cards, and numerous expressions of good will were received.

To all our members and customers, whether present at the party or not, we offer a big thank you for making our first year so enjoyable. We appreciate your custom and support and hope that the service we offer continues to meet your needs and expectations.
