Shipping & Handling
In the UK small items are sent by post and are charged according to weight. Large and/or valuable items such as telescopes are sent via courier. Overseas orders less than 2kg are sent by Airmail with anything higher in weight being despatched using a courier service. The service chosen varies with destination and the nature of the shipment.
Orders placed before 2pm during weekdays for items that are in stock are usually despatched same day, but we aim to deliver your order usually within 3-4 working days. We do carry extensive stocks to make this possible but occasionally we may take a little longer, especially at busy times, or if an item is out of stock and we are awaiting delivery from one of our suppliers who may also be busy or awaiting stock. Orders placed after 2pm on Friday's and over the weekend are dealt with on a Monday morning. International orders are generally delivered in under 14 days.
If we are out of stock and cannot obtain the item in a few days we will endeavour to contact you to let you know what is happening as soon as we possibly can. If you are concerned about your order for any reason then please let us know.
Please note that if there is anything missing or damaged when an order is delivered we must be notified within 24 hours of the delivery.
If your item is not in stock, we will contact you and back order the item(s) for you. If you do not want to wait you always have the option to cancel your order.
We issue electronic invoices along with your order despatched notification (you will see it below the despatch notice). This is your copy of the invoice and if you wish to have it in a PDF file for your records there is a link at the bottom of the despatch/invoice note where you can download it. For packaging, we recycle as much packing material as possible from padded envelopes for small items, to larger boxes as well as foam chips and bubble wrap so please do not be alarmed if the outer packing looks used!
