The Moon

Ralph Bell produced this superb image of the Moon using a webcam on his Orion Optics 10-inch Newtonian. It is made up of a mosaic of individual images. Please note that Ralph retains the copyright for the image and whilst you are welcome to copy it for personal use any commercial use is by written permission only.

Images of Saturn and Mars have been placed below the Moon to show their relative apparent sizes. This gives an idea of the difficulty involved in taking high-resolution images of these two planets.
